Kimberly-Clark Completes Sale of Southeast Timberlands

Company Receives Proceeds of Approximately $400 Million as Deal Closes With Joshua Timberlands, LLC

DALLAS, Sept. 30 -- Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB)today completed the sale of approximately 460,000 acres of timberland in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee to Joshua Timberlands, LLC for proceeds of approximately $400 million.

As previously announced, the transaction completes the sale of the company's Southeast Timberlands operation, which consisted of 529,000 acres of woodlands and related operations. The sale was due to the recent closure of the company's pulp mill in Mobile, Ala.
