Kimberly-Clark Responds to Statement on Manufacturas de Papel C.A. Talks DALLAS, March 8 -- Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB) said today that a story released yesterday over the Dow Jones Newswire incorrectly stated that Kimberly-Clark and Manufacturas de Papel C.A. ("Manpa") have not had talks concerning possible business opportunities. The company said it continually evaluates business opportunities that fit its strategic plans and frequently has discussions concerning possible alignments. Its practice is not to comment on speculation or rumors concerning these activities. The company will not provide details concerning possible business opportunities unless and until it reaches definitive agreements.
