Kimberly-Clark Announces $400 Million Financing DALLAS, February 5, 2002 - Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE:KMB) today announced the public offering of $400 million of 5 5/8% notes due February 15, 2012. The notes were priced at 99.146 percent of the principal amount to yield 5.738 percent. The public offering will be underwritten by Salomon Smith Barney, JPMorgan, Banc One Capital Markets, Inc., Banc of America Securities LLC, ABN AMRO Incorporated, HSBC, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and BNY Capital Markets, Inc. 

Proceeds from the sale of the notes will be used principally to reduce short-term debt.
