Chief Innovation Officer Cheryl Perkins Announces Plans To Leave Kimberly-Clark

DALLAS, Nov. 13, 2006—Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB) today announced that Cheryl Perkins, chief innovation officer, plans to resign at the end of the year to pursue other professional opportunities following a distinguished career spanning 22 years with the company.

With Ms. Perkins' departure, Bob Black, chief strategy officer, will assume responsibility for the innovation organization. The move will align development of the company's growth strategies with its pipeline of new health and hygiene products.

"Cheryl has made many notable contributions to the company during her career," said Tom Falk, chairman and chief executive officer of Kimberly-Clark. "As a passionate champion for innovation, she has helped drive growth through such innovative solutions as Kleenex Anti-Viral tissue, Huggies toiletries and Scott Extra Soft bathroom tissue. She also has been instrumental in reducing cycle time, engaging external partners and directing more of our research dollars to longer-term ideas that will benefit Kimberly-Clark for years to come.

"As for Bob, he has a successful track record of managing R&D, marketing and product development organizations," Mr. Falk said. "Under his leadership, we will continue to strengthen our innovation capabilities and leverage them to create meaningful product innovations that continue to deliver results."
